2025 has been an incredible year for the arts in Pemberton! Our community came together to create, celebrate, and experience art through a wide variety of projects and events.
This year, we brought color and creativity to our community through several amazing murals: the Youth Mural Camp, where young artists learned collaborative mural-making skills; the Mural at Pemberton Valley Supermarket by Natasha Plumridge, celebrating creativity and community spirit; the Community Mosaic Mural, featuring over 200 tiles painted by community members of all ages; we installed the Museum Murals painted by Kate Zessel, enriching the cultural landscape for visitors and locals alike; and the Dyking District Shed Mural by Mélisse Carron, brightening downtown Pemberton with vibrant public art.
Other highlights of the year included the Mountain Muse Festival, showcasing live music, performances, and visual art from over 35 local artists; Theater: Little Shop of Horrors, a dynamic community musical production; Workshops & Classes for all ages, covering painting, sewing, music, and more; the Arts Fest at Sunstone, a fundraiser featuring live music, art, and a silent auction; the Grizzly Bear Art Show in collaboration with the Coast to Cascades Grizzly Bear Initiative, celebrating local talent and supporting awareness for grizzly bear conservation. ; and hiring a Program Coordinator to strengthen our team and expand programming.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled about our Arts and Culture Center in downtown Pemberton. We are working on securing funding for this exciting project, and will need the community’s support to bring it to fruition. The space will include a pottery studio, workshop space, exhibition space, and a music room, providing year-round opportunities for creation, collaboration, and inspiration. Next year, PAC will be 20 years old! Stay tuned for an amazing year of programming and celebrations.
A huge thank you to our sponsors for supporting us in 2025! We invite you to continue being part of our community: become a member, volunteer, spread the word, and consider sponsoring our 20th anniversary celebrations to help us deliver affordable, inclusive, and fun programming for everyone in 2026!
Thank you for helping make 2025 a year full of colour, creativity, and connection. From all of us at the Pemberton Arts Council, happy holidays and a joyful New Year!
