Michele is a self-taught artist raised in Pemberton who has always felt most at home with a paintbrush in hand. After more than 30 years in the sign industry, she returned from the Cariboo to answer the call to paint full-time. Working intuitively, Michele often begins with just a few colours and no plan — trusting the process to lead the way. Her work explores the nuances of relationships and emotion, while her subject matter ranges from musical sets and stagecoaches to driftwood and unexpected treasures. Her artistic compass is broad, guided by whatever moves her in the moment.
