The Pemberton Arts Council (PAC) invites the community to join us in celebrating the completion of a colourful new mural by Pemberton-based artist Natasha Plumridge (@artbynatashalouise) at the Pemberton Valley Supermarket.
Come out on Sunday, November 2nd, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a Mural Party and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in the supermarket parking lot. Enjoy music by DJ J to the U, food and refreshments, meet the artist and project partners, and be part of this joyful community celebration!
This mural was made possible through the support of the Pemberton Valley Supermarket and the Vancouver Biennale (vancouverbiennale.com), and led by PAC under Executive Director Cléa Thomas. The project began with a call for artists in February 2025, drawing over 30 submissions from local, BC, and Canadian artists. PAC worked closely with the Líl̓wat Nation to ensure the artwork reflects the Valley’s cultural, ecological, and agricultural heritage.
Plumridge’s mural celebrates Pemberton’s natural beauty, its flowing rivers, alpine scenery, wildlife, and native flora, with a bright and summery feel.
The mural is part of PAC’s Outside Voices Mural Project, an ongoing initiative supporting public art and local artists throughout the Pemberton Valley.
Don’t forget to take part in the Mural Colouring Contest, open until October 31st! Pick up a colouring sheet at the Pemberton Valley Supermarket and enter for a chance to win prizes.
