I’m always inspired to work on impressionistic style landscapes in a variety of media and mixes: oil, acrylic, resin, watercolour, encaustic. My paintings are about the richness and beauty of nature at every scale and perspective, I paint the echoes of how we remember our time spent in nature. As a young girl I first learned to draw while watching A.Y. Jackson, and later studied at Art Sake in Toronto, a studio/school run by ten of Canadian foremost contemporary painters of the 70’s & 80’s. I continued my studies in Glass and Metal design at Sheridan College’s School of Craft and Design and later I moved on to fine art studies at Emily Carr and CapU.My entire working life has been spent in the visual arts – as a painter, illustrator, art director, graphic designer, photographer, set decorator, furniture maker, muralist.
