Sheri Marie Ptolemy SHIPWRECKED EP LAUNCH Party at the Pemberton Museum
The Pemberton Arts Council is excited to present Sheri Ptolemy at the Pemberton Museum on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 1 PM for the public launch of her most authentic and powerful EP, SHIPWRECKED — an intimate celebration of songs that embrace struggle and point toward renewal.
The Five-song EP, out June 17, 2026, explores confronting and rebuilding emotional health and resilience, a shaken sense of self-worth, and the hard work of healing after a near-death experience transformed Sheri’s life and art.
SHIPWRECKED blends Sheri’s classic country roots and intimate storytelling with new layers of cultural and emotional texture — including vocals in Ucwalmícwts and traditional hand-drum rhythms that deepen the record’s landscape.
Sheri’s unique, resonant voice — capable of delivering quiet fragility and full-bodied power — promises to give audiences goosebumps as she brings these songs to life on stage in the intimate Soo Building at the Pemberton Museum. She’ll be accompanied by Alexis Kay on lap steel guitar and Kay Falch-Nielsen on lead guitar.
Though some tracks dwell in shadow, each ultimately points toward repair and renewal. Lead singles “SUMMER RAIN”, “BAD WEATHER” and “SHIPWRECKED” are out now and offer a raw preview of the EP’s emotional elements.
The Pemberton Museum, located on the traditional, unceded territory of the Lil’wat and St’át’imc Nations, offers a dynamic live-music setting among historic buildings and regional artifacts, promising a special experience for all who attend.
