Levi Nelson is a contemporary First Nations artist from the Lil’wat Nation. He is currently in his 4th year at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, working towards a BFA. His primary focus is oil painting and multimedia works, implementing silkscreen and collage. Nelson has shown work in the Talking Stick Festival; at the Museum of Anthropology; and in 2019 “After the Blast,” his first solo exhibition opened at Arts Whistler. He is the recipient of the 2018 IDEA Art Award, and is the first Lil’wat Nation Artist to become a part of the Audain Art Museum Whistler’s permanent collection. In 2020 Nelson was voted as Best of Pemberton 2020 Favorite Artist.
