Calls for Artists

Calling all Mural Artists!

The Pemberton Arts Council, in partnership with the Pemberton and District Museum and Archive Society, is sending out a call for artists for a new mural.

The theme is “Pemberton”, where local mural artists are encouraged to express their artistic vision of the village and surroundings, as opposed to historical depiction scenes.

The budget is $1600, which includes the mural artist fees and paint. The mural will be painted on large sheets of plywood fixed to the two sides of the building (see picture). The artist can decide to paint directly on the installed plywood or paint the plywood in their studio for a later installation.

Priority will be given to local mural artists from the Pemberton Valley and neighbouring nations and towns.

Please submit your proposed design and short biography to pembertonartscouncil@gmail.com.

The deadline is September 30 th , 2024, at 6 pm. The completed mural design will be unveiled the last weekend of October 2024.

For more information, please email pembertonartscouncil@gmail.com.
